Seeing Managing Moments at Work
Managing Moments is based on the idea that moments influence our decisions to start, modify, continue, and expand projects over time.
Initiating: What projects did you start this week?
Adapting: What changes are you making to projects?
Sustaining: What projects are you continuing from previous weeks?
Extending: What incremental expansions are you making to your projects this week?
Our capacities and resources also influence our decisions to start, modify, continue, and expand projects over time. The Six Cs (Connections, Conversations, Clarity, Choice, Comptence, and Coordination) are key capacities that we use in projects and grow through our projects.
Last week, Ananth got an idea for reusing code that he had learned from his HashHackCode class to tell a story. Once we initiated this project, we started adapting our daily practice to support this goal. Since this direction is motivating for Ananth, we are likely to sustain practice. We also have opportunities to extend lessons. For example, we figured out how to add text and position it for the animation below.
See CSS Transitions and Life Transitions post by Ananth for an explanation of how we started moving in this direction.
