Personalize Practice with the Managing Moments Journal
Ananth and I have been using our Managing Moments journal to keep track of dance practice since April 2020. Now, we are able to define precise goals and track progress. We started building the journal a few thorts in Thortspace at a time.
Building the journal incrementally made it possible to sustain effort on this journal. Now, we have a reusable template and reusable content that makes it easy to update and use the journal. Evolving a personalized practice plan became doable as we gradually added more information to our journal in Thortspace.
Now, it is possible for us to maintain the journal and practice plan as a Word document. However, it was much easier to build the journal one thort at a time in Thortspace. When Ananth's Arangetram performance was postponed due to COVID 19 situation, he had learned all his arangetram pieces. So making a list of doable micro-projects for practice was an easy first step. This list has now become the fourth section of the journal. Other pieces were gradually added to the Thortspace sphere. Thortspace provides an environment where we can toss in information as it evolves with our situation knowing that re-organizing, categorizing, and presenting is easy!
