Build your LIFESMART Roadmap

An exciting moment! Decades of experience as a professor and home educator have led to the development of the Learning4LIFE approach and LIFESMART roadmap.

Awareness: Cultivate a LIFESMART Mindset

Key elements of the LIFESMART mindset are:

  • Current Situation

  • Desired Future

  • Macro-projects, Micro-projects, and Moments

Goals and activities for long-term projects (macro-projects) are gradually clarified over time. Micro-projects are short-term, well-defined projects that are doable with resources at hand. Moments guide us in the choice of macro-projects and in the definition and execution of micro-project.

Discovery: Evolve LIFE goals over time

We explore and discover LIFE goals throughout our lives.

L: What do you learn daily?

I: What do you like to do daily?

F: What do you with your family daily?

E: How do you engage your community daily?

Direction: Define SMART Micro-projects

Well-defined, short-term micro-projects that are doable with resources at hand move us forward towards our long-term goals.

S: Specific

M: Measurable

A: Attainable

R: Relevant

T: Time-framed

Integration: Use capacities and Resources

We use our Six Cs to use our capacities and resources effectively in micro-projects. We grow Six Cs as we work on micro-projects.

Transformation: Monitor progress/ results

We start, modify, continue, and expand micro-projects over time. At any given time, SMART projects in each category is an important indicator of progress towards long-term LIFE goals.

I am grateful to the support provided by The PhD Project for the development of the Growing Systems of Success (GSS) framework on which the LIFESMART work is based.
